Our Profile
We are an independently owned travel agency group. It commenced operations in 1977 and has developed into one of the most successful retailers of travel in Sydney.
Since commencing operations Gentry Travel has been a fully accredited International Air Transport Association (I.A.T.A.) agency; has been an active member of the Australian Federation of Travel Agents and a subscriber to all government institutions for passenger protection.
We are a member of the Travelworld Group and as a result has access to their vast purchasing power.
To date, a substantial and diverse number of organisations utilise our services to satisfy their corporate travel needs which has resulted in the development of our Corporate Travel division.

To ensure that this occurs all our client accounts are managed and co-ordinated through their dedicated Corporate Travel office which is located in Crows Nest, NSW.
Nominated Consultant
Clients who deal with our Corporate Travel office are allocated a highly professional and qualified consultant to maintain the day to day management of their account. These staff members are appraised of our client's Corporate Travel Policy and made fully aware of any preferred operational procedures that they may have.
Our Consultants have the capacity to offer advice on the full range of corporate travel related products which include itinerary planning, air fare information, including alternative "Best fare of the Day" pricing initiatives, health regulations, visa requirements, local departure taxes and airport procedures.
Ticket Delivery
Regular delivery of tickets to our client's offices are made either by courier or by overnight mail. Alternatively, if the need arises for last minute requests tickets are made available for collection at the airport of departure.
Out of Hours Contact
In the event of an emergency occurring, travellers are supplied with the out of hours contact numbers of the consultant managing their account.

Our staff are our greatest asset.
While their individual level of experience, expertise and knowledge varies, all of our employees are fully qualified in their respective disciplines and undergo comprehensive training before being allowed to take up positions of responsibility.
Technology
Our Corporate Office is fully equipped with the latest automated reservation and management information systems, which allows immediate confirmation of airline, hotel and car hire reservations.
This system is at the leading edge and is likely to maintain this position for some years to come.
Quality Control
As part of an on going Quality Control Programme we maintain regular contact and liaison with all levels of their client's management team to ensure that service requirements are being met and that all aspects of the client's travel policy is being adhered to.
In addition, we have a series of brief Quality Control Questionnaires that are directed towards travel account decision makers, travel co-ordinators, travellers and their secretaries so that comments can be made on specific aspects of client service.

In order to keep corporate travel clients up to date with new developments including GST, a quarterly newsletter is sent to each traveller which provides a quick summary of all that is happening in the fast changing corporate travel world.

Pricing Policy
We have a commitment to providing corporate clients with the lowest appropriate air fare options available at time of booking.

Due to our strong relationships (influenced by our buying power) with both international and domestic airlines we are able to negotiate air fares, in all classes of travel, that are generally lower than published fares.
These fares are offered exclusively to our corporate travel clients and a monitoring system is also provided to satisfy clients of the outcome.
These systems and pre-planning travel arrangements assists our clients in substantially reducing travel expenditure.
Accommodation
With regard to hotel accommodation, as a result of our affiliation with Travelworld we are able to offer significant discounts on your hotel costs. Savings of between 10% and 50% off the normal hotel rack rates are generally available.
Car Hire
As with accommodation we are, as a result of our affiliation with Travelworld, able to offer significant savings on car hire. By monitoring our client's usage we are able to negotiate highly competitive rates for their use.
Travel Insurance
We offer a comprehensive range of travel and personal liability insurance products, at very competitive market rates.

Travellers Cheques and Foreign Currency
We are able to arrange the supply of Travellers Cheques in a variety of different currencies. These cheques are issued by American Express and are accepted worldwide.

Management Information Reporting
We are able to provide for clients a comprehensive range of Management Information Reports, including our Travel Analysis Report produced annually free of charge for our corporate clients.

These are produced to assist senior management with the task of monitoring and controlling travel expenditure and are designed according to individual specifications.
Traveller Profiles
Gentry Travel has formulated an individual Corporate Traveller's Personal Profile document which provides us with a comprehensive record of travellers specific day to day requirements.
The information contained in these profiles is installed in a secure area of our reservation system so that our staff can have immediate access to client detail, preferences etc. whenever bookings are made.
Accounting and Administration
Our client's travel accounting requirements can be met by our sophisticated computerised accounting system.
All travel transactions are invoiced as documents are processed, and payment is then required within 7 days from receipt.
Unused tickets or refunds on cancelled tickets are processed immediately on return to our travel office.
Our account facility provides the flexibility to issue invoices in your preferred format whether it be by location, department or cost centre.
GST will be invoiced as per government requirements allowing clients to quickly identify and process any GST credits paid for travel with us.
Credit Card Payments
Alternatively, we are able to design an accounting system that will accommodate payments by either individual or corporate credit cards.
